In Odysseus’ journey into the Underworld,
he encountered many spirits who in some way contributed to the great
things that happened during his time. Among the many people, Odysseus
encountered Teiresias the prophet, who foretold Odysseus’ troubles
during his journey home and also his death. Odysseus also encountered
his mother who told him about what was happening at home with Penelope,
